ganesha | गणेश

me gustan los elefantes, desde chiquita siempre me han gustado los animales grandes: manatees, ballenas, elefantes, lobos de mar, son alguno de los que están en mi lista de animales preferidos.  pero sobre todo los elefantes y el dios ganesha.
en la mitología hindú, ganesha es el elefante sagrado, conocido también como ganapati, es una de las deidades más conocidas y adoradas en la india. su culto se extiende al jainismo y budismo. ayuda a remover obstáctulos y en los comienzos, patrón de las artes y ciencias, deva del intelecto y la sabiduría, los escritores lo invocan durante la lectura de textos sagrados o sesiones de escritura.
sabiendo todo esto, entiendo porqué el dios ganesha y los elefantes son dos de las cosas que más me gustan. a uno le pido e invoco, al otro lo admiro por todas las cualidades que tienen.

los colecciono a los dos, dios y animal, de diferentes materiales, tamaños, formas, para que sean parte de mi día a día.

este es mi sueño: algún día estar en el festival de los elefantes en la india es el país de los colores… sin ellos, es imposible comprender el país. el color lo inunda todo; las ciudades, turbantes, saris, harapos, rosarios de flores, polvos para la frente y hasta los elefantes brillantemente vestidos, pintados con intensos colores en el cuerpo y decorados con flores por los mahaouts (entrenador de elefantes).
cada año a mediados de marzo, en la víspera de la festividad de Holi, se celebra el festival de los elefantes, un festival lleno de mensajes, como si la alegría y la esperanza de esta maravillosa gente residiera en los colores.

Meditation on the Ganesha Yantra creates internal balance.On the begining of every auspicious events, Shri.Ganesha  is remembered by the dissiples by reciting the bhajans and by chanting  «Ganesh Mantras»,- «Aum Shri. Ganeshaya Namaha».
